Blencathra is a residential environmental education centre nestled 300 metres up the south-facing slopes of its namesake fell in the Lake District National Park, just one mile from Threlkeld village. The award-winning eco-friendly facility runs on renewable energy from its own hydro scheme and biomass heating. It offers six meeting rooms with interactive whiteboards and Wi-Fi, a library seating ten, and a licensed bar stocking local ales and spirits.
