Cars of the Stars
Keswick, GB
Cars of the Stars was a motor museum in Keswick conceived by local painter and sculptor Peter D Nelson. Housed in the converted Royal Oak Garage, it opened in 1989 following a two-year search for vehicles with film and television connections. The museum featured a unique collection of famous cars including Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and the Batmobile, complemented by constructed sets depicting houses, mountains, battlefields and bomb sites. Visitors experienced a nostalgic journey through the fantasy worlds of television and film. The museum has now closed.
