Lake View is part of Derwent Hill Outdoor Education and Training Centre, owned and operated by Sunderland City Council. Set in the English Lake District, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it offers residential facilities with dormitories featuring 4–8 bunk beds, most with en-suite facilities. Rooms include tea and coffee making facilities and televisions. The Training Centre provides comfortable communal spaces including a lounge with Freeview TV, free WiFi, board games and books, plus a bar serving bottled beers, wines, spirits and soft drinks with complimentary tea and coffee. Specialist activity equipment is provided. The venue is smoke-free, offers free parking and WiFi, and does not permit pets.
