Graphite Gallery Cumbria
Keswick, GB
Graphite Gallery Cumbria showcases the work of local Keswick artist Helen Bradbury, who has been drawing and painting Lake District fells since 2012. The gallery features a distinctive collection created using materials rooted in Cumbrian heritage: Derwent pencils from the region's historic pencil-making tradition, and oil paintings incorporating iron ore from west Cumbria's Florence Iron mine. Prints and cards are produced locally by McKane's of Keswick on paper from Cropper's in Kentmere. Available in A5, A4 and A3 sizes, framed and unframed, mounted prints are prepared to order. A free mini museum displays artefacts from historic Cumbrian trades including mining and quarrying. The gallery walks visitors through graphite mining from extraction to finished pencil, with actual machinery on display.
