Keswick Brewery Tours and Shop

Keswick Brewery Tours and Shop occupies the historic site of the former Old Brewery Co., with roots tracing back to September 1889. The bespoke brewery was built with quality and environmental sustainability at its core, featuring innovative design such as Herdwick sheep's wool insulation for tanks and optimised heat systems. The brewery crafts beers using Maris Otter Pale Ale malt from the UK's oldest working floor maltings, local fell water from Thirlmere reservoir, and premium hops from the UK and worldwide. The Fox Tap bar serves up to six cask and four keg beers alongside bottled and canned options, including vegan, gluten-free and low alcohol varieties. Brewery Social Saturdays feature fresh releases and street food in the Beer Garden, with guided tours lasting approximately 45 minutes followed by three 1/3 beers.
