Nichol End Marine

Nichol End Marine is a lakeside venue on the shores of Derwentwater in Cumbria, ideally positioned on the Cumbrian Way and close to the Derwentwater circuit and Catbells. The venue offers hire of paddleboards, kayaks, canoes, sailing boats and rowing boats, all providing excellent views across the lake. Instructors provide basic instruction and safety advice before sessions. The on-site café serves freshly baked cakes, famous scones and freshly brewed hot drinks. Facilities include four indoor changing rooms with hot showers, beach changing tents during high season, and a small range of footwear. Around 40 parking spaces are available, prioritised for those hiring equipment. Well-behaved dogs and younger children are very welcome. Pre-booking is essential.
