Stonethwaite Campsite

Keswick, GB

Stonethwaite Campsite sits in the Borrowdale Valley, a working farm with deep roots stretching back to 1195 when monks of Fountains Abbey owned the land. Today, it's run by the Stalker family and hosts over 500 Borrowdale Herdwick Sheep alongside Belted Galloway cattle. The 60 grass pitches, nestled amongst trees, fells and the river, welcome tents and small camper vans by booking only. Facilities include toilets and a dog run, though showers and electric hook-ups are not available. Locally sourced food and ale feature lamb from Yewtree Farm and beef from nearby farms.
